Beside performing for private or corporate events such: wedding parties, birthday parties, house parties, product launching, shop openings, etc, I also perform for concept shows. Partnering with some restaurants, cafes, and guest artists, I make thematic shows to keep the passion of music alive and also with the mission to bring crowd into the partnership venues. Join Daniel Purnomo on guitar and ukulele, Lydia Ng on bass and Low Han Quan on drums for an evening of feel good, groovy originals and covers. Listen out for music by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Jobim, The Carpenters, The Beatles, Fatima Rainey, Sade and Toto.
Savour the delicious gastronomy creation of ToriYard with a playfully soulful live music performance by Daniel Purnomo, a local fingerstyle ukulele player and the finalist of the International Ukulele Contest 2018 and 2019. Daniel will also feature his talented students which are united in SURE (Singapore Ukulele Revival), a local ukulele ensemble which is on their way to the final round of the International Ukulele Contest 2020 this February in Honolulu.
Joining as guest performer of the night is Kapuanani Namiko Chan, director and principal dancer with the Ka Lei Maile Hi'ilani School of Hawaiian Dance (the Singapore extension of Kumu Leihi'ilani's dance school in Kaua'i). Kapuanani and her husband Aaron Lee are community artists, aloha ambassadors and co-founders of the Laniakea Culture Collective - http://www.laniakea.la/
As it is also an interactive show there will be some music game, ukulele jam session (please bring along your ukulele) cum sing along, on top of that we will collectively do a Hawaiian dance conducted by Namiko.
Entertaining, educative, informative and interactive collaborative showcase using double neck guitar with tapping [touchstyle] guitar technique featuring Julian Cheong with her soulful voice. I made some interactive experiment that proved that it's actually easier to play with tapping than plucking to play melody on the guitar.

It's a live music & talk show at Hooha Cafe, Arab Street, Singapore. Beside to have fun over a good meal, Daniel also demonstrated about his double guitar & how to play touchstyle on it. The guests response was great, it's almost full house!
